Dongripodar Village
Blessing Well
Dedicated by Nichala & Bhaskar in Honor of their Parents
Before this Blessing Well, the people of Dongripodar Village collected water deep in the jungle. The journey was dangerous. Tigers roamed the area, and families here still carry the memory of children lost while fetching water. One woman in the village survived a tiger attack. She lost her leg and fingers and nearly lost her life. Her scars are a living reminder of what this community endured just to drink water. The water they collected was unsafe. Illness was common. Fear was constant. Then everything changed. Through the generosity of Nichala & Bhaskar, who dedicated this well in honor of their parents, clean water now flows in the center of the village. No more walking into the jungle. No more sharing water sources with wild animals. No more daily fear. Today, the villagers pray for the donors they have never met. They ask that their lives overflow with blessings and that they continue to grow as leaders in the world. They say: “You have taken away our tears. You have taken away our pain. You saved our children. You saved our village.” This is what honoring your parents looks like. This is what legacy looks like.
Clean water is safety. Clean water is dignity. Clean water is life.
