From the spotlight of Radio City Music Hall to the sacred soil of Odisha, India, Rev. Dr. Lori McMacken’s life is a powerful testament to transformation through love, purpose, and service. A former Radio City Rockette for 16 years and alumna, Lori is also a seasoned real estate investor, a former member of the National Speakers Association, an ordained minister with Centers for Spiritual Living, and a devoted SRF yogi.
Lori enjoys the opportunity to engage with people around the globe and share how simple acts of love transform lives, bringing joy to ourselves and others. She would be delighted to share at your next event, business meeting, or philanthropic endeavor.
The Beginnings of Butterfly Effect
Lori’s journey took a profound turn during the COVID-19 pandemic with the unexpected loss of her beloved mother. From this heartbreak, she was inspired to fund a clean water well in her mother’s honor. This single act of love set in motion a ripple effect across the globe.
Since that first well, Lori has inspired the creation of over 150 clean water wells in tribal villages across Odisha, India. Each brings clean, life-saving water to communities in need. Today, through her own nonprofit, Butterfly Effect Global, her mission continues to expand. The organization now provides monthly food and medical care to individuals in a leprosy colony and is launching a women-led skill-building center to empower tribal women through education, sewing, and social upliftment.
Lori’s work uplifts lives with dignity, health, and lasting hope; creating a ripple effect of compassion that continues to grow.
