Duruaguda Village
Blessing Well
Honoring Lena Estevaz
The village of Duruaguda waited patiently for seven long months for clean, life-giving water. Last spring, drilling trucks arrived and tried again and again to find water—but each attempt ended in failure. Just when hope felt thin, the perfect water source was finally discovered. Yet another challenge arose: a breakage in the pipeline halted the work once more. Then the monsoon season set in, making it impossible to continue. The village had no choice but to wait. Through it all, the people of Duruaguda continued to rely on a dirty, fast-flowing river—a water source that brought illness and heartbreak. Many villagers became sick, and tragically, lives were lost simply trying to access water. Today, everything has changed. The Blessing Well is now complete and flowing, bringing clean, living water from deep within Mother Earth. The joy and gratitude in the village are overwhelming. Children are healthier. Families are safer. Life has been restored. This well was lovingly donated by Karen Hall, in honor of Lena Estevaz—a beautiful legacy reminding us that life continues to flow, even beyond this lifetime. In Lena’s name, an entire village has been blessed for generations to come. Thank you, Karen, for your compassion, perseverance, and love. Your gift has transformed lives, restored dignity, and created a ripple of healing that will be felt forever.
"In memory of Lena Estevez May God’s blessings flow into all who drink from this well.”
