Before the Blessing Well, the people of Duelkona Village gathered their water from a nearby river. From the surface, the water looked clear. It appeared clean. But what they could not see was what was killing them. The water was contaminated and poisonous. Parents were burying children. Children were losing mothers and fathers. Entire families were being torn apart by something that looked harmless. The villagers tried everything they knew. They used their clothing as a sieve, straining out visible dirt and insects. But the unseen bacteria remained. What looked like life was slowly bringing death. Then came the Blessing Well. Today, clean water flows in Duelkona. Children drink safely. Parents no longer fear the cup in their child’s hand. The cycle of sickness has been broken. This well, dedicated in honor of Earnest and Gwen Gossett, is more than a water source. It is a generational gift. It is protection. It is dignity. It is life restored. What an extraordinary legacy — to transform the destiny of an entire village in Odisha, India. This is the Butterfly Effect in action. 🦋 One family’s love… becoming life for generations.
