Dhudungihori Village
Blessing Well
Kate Mood Honoring her Brother Trent E. Kroll
Before the Well In Dhudungihori Village, there was only one source of water. A small pond near a tree — almost like a narrow river — was used for everything. The villagers washed their clothes there. They bathed there. They used it as their toilet. And that same water… was what they drank. What appeared natural and harmless carried disease. Many suffered from skin infections and serious illness. The muddy banks were slippery and dangerous — people fell, breaking arms and legs. Some even lost their lives. Water, the very thing meant to sustain life, had become a source of suffering. After the Blessing Well Today, everything has changed. Clean water flows from their own Blessing Well. Children drink safely. Families no longer fear sickness from every cup. The daily struggle for survival has been replaced with peace and dignity. Message to the Donor From the depths of our hearts, we thank you — though words feel too small. You have saved our entire village. You have cleansed our community from disease. You have restored our health and our future. To us, you are The Great Doctor — because you have brought healing and life back to our people. Every drop of water is medicine. Every pump of the handle is hope restored. … this is what generational love looks like. A sister honoring her brother. A family legacy becoming life for an entire village. The Butterfly Effect in motion. 🦋
