✨ Happy National Humanitarian Day!

From Radio City Rockette to Humanitarian Service

In honor of World Humanitarian Day, I’m grateful to be speaking at La Marea Senior Living on August 19th and sharing my journey from Radio City Rockette to humanitarian service. I’ll be joined by my dear friend Laura Ember, Bobula’s “Divine Mother,” as we share stories of purpose, compassion, clean water, education, and the beautiful ways one act of love can change a life. 🦋💧❤️

In honor of Humanitarian Day on August 19th, Butterfly Effect Global is celebrating the power of giving women the tools to create a new future. ❤️🦋

For $150, a sewing machine can help a woman in Odisha, India build a skill, earn an income, and move toward greater independence for herself and her family. Through our Skill Building Center, women are learning not only how to sew, but how to believe in new possibilities for their lives.

One machine. One woman. One family. One beautiful ripple of transformation.

Together, we are empowering women—one stitch at a time. 🧵🦋

Honoring Hundarguda Village with a Smile

Even though we are still in monsoon season, a couple of beautiful clear days came our way, giving Thabir the opportunity to finally inaugurate several Blessing Wells that had been put on the back burner because of the heavy rains. 💧🦋

At the inauguration in Hundarguda Village, Lori Mello honored the memory of her father, Edward Mello, with these beautiful words:

“He greeted everyone with a smile. Today, this smile is for you. Take it and pass it along.” ❤️

And on this blessed day, the families of Hundarguda Village have a very special reason to smile.

For generations, families here have been forced to collect their water from a contaminated source. When I notice how few very young children there are in some of these villages, I’m reminded of the devastating toll that contaminated water and waterborne disease can take.

Today, approximately 300 families no longer have to depend on that contaminated water. They now have access to clean, safe living water right in their village.

Thank you, Lori, for allowing the beautiful spirit of your father to become part of this very special day.

Edward’s smile is being passed along in Hundarguda Village. 💙💧🦋

Medical Camp

Our August Medical Camp continues to bring compassionate care and essential medications to residents of Gadwaguda Village and Janikar Village, two leprosy colonies we are honored to serve each month. ❤️

For many residents, access to consistent medical care is extremely limited. These monthly visits provide treatment, medication, monitoring, and—just as importantly—the reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Butterfly Effect Global is committed to walking beside these communities month after month, bringing dignity, compassion, and healing wherever we can. 🦋

A heartfelt thank-you to Butterfly Effect donors Jan and Fran

A heartfelt thank-you to Butterfly Effect donors Jan and Fran for providing the July and August food rations for our precious friends in the leprosy colony. Because of your generosity, they continue to receive nourishing food, compassionate care, and the reassurance that they are not forgotten.

Thank you Butterfly Effect monthly donors for ongoing support for food rations and medical camp!

"A stranger from a faraway land heard our prayers and poured their love upon our village."
