Thabir shared with us that he was amazed by the talent, skill, and confidence the women from our Sewing Center displayed. He said, “This is not a small thing. This will change generations of women in the village.”

And he is right.

What began as a sewing class has become something much greater. These women are now sewing in their own huts, in their own villages, with skill, pride, and purpose. The word is spreading. Everyone knows they have been trained. Everyone knows they are capable. Everyone knows their work has value.

This changes everything.

When a woman can sew, earn, save, and provide for her family, she no longer has to depend on others in the same way. She becomes less vulnerable to exploitation. She becomes stronger in her home, stronger in her village, and stronger in society.

These beautiful tribal women are rising, and their rising will bless many.

This is why we believe in skill building. This is why we believe in women. This is why we believe that even one sewing machine, placed in the hands of a woman with courage and training, can help change the future of a village.

Butterfly Effect Global is honored to walk beside these women as they move forward with confidence, dignity, and power.

What comes next is the beginning of their businesses.

The women will receive microfinance loans through Butterfly Effect Global so they can purchase the materials they need to begin sewing and selling clothing in their villages. Reena will personally help them shop for fabric, supplies, and everything required to help their new businesses take flight.

The word is already out.

The tribal women know who has been trained. The villages know these women have skill. Families know they can now come to them for clothing, sewing, and support.

Business is open.

With every stitch, these women are creating income, dignity, confidence, and a stronger future for their families. Their training has given them more than a skill — it has given them a new place in society.

They are rising.

And as they rise, the Butterfly Effect continues to spread.

💧 Monsoon Rains Delay the Inauguration of 13 New Blessing Wells 💧

In this video, Thabir stands in the pouring rain in Odisha, India, to share an important update with our Butterfly Effect Blessing Well donors.

The monsoon season arrived early this year, bringing heavy and persistent rainfall throughout the tribal villages. Although 13 new Blessing Wells have been dug, the rain has made it impossible for Thabir and his team to finish the surrounding platforms and hold the traditional village inaugurations.

The villagers are deeply grateful for the gift of clean water, and the wells will be formally completed and celebrated once the monsoon season has passed and the roads and ground are safe again.

To every donor who made these wells possible: thank you for your patience, generosity, and continued love for the people of Odisha. Even in the pouring rain, your kindness is flowing into these villages—bringing clean water, better health, hope, and new possibilities for generations to come.

The rain may delay the celebration, but it cannot stop the Butterfly Effect. 🦋💧
