Babula is making steady progress with his studies
We are also delighted to share that our dear Babula is making steady progress with his studies. Every step forward is opening new possibilities for his future, and we are grateful to Laura who has helped support his educational journey.
His learning journey is challenging, but his future is bright.
Monthly Medical Mission to support our two leprosy colonies
At the Skill Building Center, the ladies have now taken sewing machines home to complete their "Sew to Earn" projects. Soon, they will create 30 new outfits for our precious people living in the leprosy colony. We are committed to supporting these women as they build sustainable livelihoods, including access to microfinance when needed. Once we are confident this first class has achieved sustainable success, we will begin training our second group of women.
💧 Meanwhile, Thabir continues to put the new Butterfly Effect vehicle to extraordinary use. 💧
For most of us, calling an ambulance is something we take for granted. In the remote tribal villages of Odisha, India, there are no emergency vehicles. When tragedy strikes—a venomous snake bite, a medical emergency, or a mother struggling through a difficult pregnancy—people call one person: Thabir Bagh.
For years, Thabir transported the sick and injured on his motorcycle, often navigating dangerous roads, flooding rivers, and relentless monsoon rains. Despite the challenges, he has helped save more than 95 lives, bringing hope where there was none.
Today, thanks to the generosity of Butterfly Effect Global donors, Thabir has a new life-saving vehicle that allows him to transport people more safely, quickly, and with dignity.
In this video, our precious Babula from the leprosy colony experiences something many children never have—the joy of his very first ride in the Butterfly Effect Mobile. His smile reminds us that this vehicle is more than transportation; it is a symbol of hope, safety, and love in action.
Every life matters. Every journey matters. And because of compassionate hearts around the world, countless lives in Odisha will have a better chance at survival.
In addition, Thabir is working diligently to complete 13 Blessing Wells that will be inaugurated before the monsoon season begins. Soon, hundreds more families will have access to clean, safe drinking water—transforming health, education, and daily life for generations to come.
