My Father, Paul Wheeler…

What do you get an elderly man who has everything he needs and lives very simply? A few years ago I started making a donation in his name to various charities as a gift for Christmas, birthday, and Fathers’ Day. He loved it! It didn’t matter to him which charities I donated to - he knew there were many needs all over the world, and he was very happy to have money go to a worthy cause instead of for some trinket for him that he didn’t really need.

My father and I were very close, especially after the early death of my mother at age 58. My beloved father died last year at the ripe old age of 91. A few months ago when I started receiving emails from Lori about the new Butterfly Effect Global organization, I was so touched to see the videos showing the happy faces of the villagers as they dedicated their new well.

That’s when the inspiration struck me to donate a well in honor of my father.

Just getting the process started was a great feeling, but that feeling of gratitude exploded when I saw the video of the dedication of the Bahliyaguda Village Blessing Well in my father’s name!I could hardly see the video for the tears in my eyes, and my heart just overflowed with awe at being able to participate in such a touching moment.

Just imagine - this gift will benefit generations to come! What an honor and a privilege to be associated with this incredible organization. My dad would be so pleased to be honored in this way, and to know that this well is helping others so much on a daily basis.

May God bless Butterfly Effect Global and everyone touched by this incredible organization!
