🌸 October 16th reminds me of — The Origin Story of Butterfly Effect Global
In 2021, I was donating $25 a month to a charity that will forever remain close to my heart. That small amount was enough to feed a family of five in India for an entire month. At the time, the lower-caste people were suffering deeply — many survived only by earning daily wages so they could eat that night.
Every month, I would look at my credit card bill and think to myself, “I should send this charity more money.” But month after month, I didn’t take action.
Then on October 16, 2021, my beloved mother passed away unexpectedly from COVID-19. Her transition shattered me. Yet, out of that heartbreak came a stirring within my soul — a desire to transform my grief into something good.
In December 2021, I finally sat down, wrote a heartfelt letter to the charity, and enclosed a check in honor of my mother. One week later, the president called to tell me that my donation was almost enough to fund a brand-new initiative: clean water wells in the tribal villages of India, dedicated to loved ones who had passed.
I loved the idea! When I received the photos of the first well and the villagers it served, I was filled with a joy I had never known before.
One year after receiving their clean water well, I visited the village and their eyes were bright and filled with Joy!
At that time, I was leading many online spiritual circles. When one of our dear friends — a woman of great service to humanity — passed away suddenly, I was inspired to donate another well in her honor. I called it The Gratitude Well, and inscribed on the plaque in Odia were the words:
“My cup overflows with gratitude.”
As a Religious Science Minister, I believe that when people daily think, speak, and live from gratitude, unlimited good flows into their lives. When I received the photos of her well, pure joy surged through me — so powerful, so real, that I knew I had to share it.
The next time I shared the story with one of my online groups, before the call even ended, someone sent me enough money to fund a well in memory of her sister who had died of cancer. I was astonished. Wells began to flow in one after another.
I had originally set an intention to inspire ten wells by the end of the year. But two years later, over 150 wells have been inspired — not only through me, but through others touched by this ripple of love — all serving the tribal villages of Odisha, India.

At the end of January 2025, my father gracefully passed away. From that sacred moment of transition, Butterfly Effect Global was born — and with it, The Blessing Well.
On its plaque are the words:
“My heart overflows with abundant blessings.”
Today, Butterfly Effect Global has grown far beyond wells. We are now blessed with new initiatives — providing food, beds, medication, and mosquito nets to two leprosy colonies. We have purchased a Skill Building Center, lovingly called “The Blessing Building,” which will empower lives through sewing, literacy, and income-generating programs.
As the visionary, I play the part of the Wings — setting new initiatives in motion and helping them take flight.
John is the Backbone, the steadfast CEO ensuring strength and stability.
Thabir and Reena are the Heart & Soul — their hands and feet on the ground in India, serving the people with devotion and love.
With God’s grace, and the generosity of our donors, the tribal people and leprosy colonies of India are moving forward in miraculous ways.
I can’t wait to see what the future holds — because together, we are creating waves of transformation.
UNITY — the first three letters spell “UNI.”
For truly, we are One.
